2. How to choose between 60, 80, 150 and 160kJ?
kJ is “kilojoules”, which reflects the cumulative energy transferred in one session. A higher number usually means increased coverage, number of passes, or overall treatment volume, but it doesn’t automatically mean a better fit for you. During the consultation, the following information should be written on the same confirmation form:
- Specific parts:Upper abdomen, lower abdomen, waist, upper arms, inner and outer thighs, or face and double chin.
- Unilateral or bilateral total:Arm 60kJ may be 60kJ per side, or it may be bilateral total 60kJ.

If there is very little fat and the main problem is skin laxity, it may not be appropriate to simply pursue a “big kJ”; if there is obvious abdominal fat or weight problems, non-invasive body shaping cannot be regarded as a weight loss treatment. American FDA also classifies such devices as non-invasive body contouring projects and clearly points out that they do not treat obesity and will not bring health benefits of weight loss.
4. ONDA prices in Korea: why can the same kJ cost so differently?

Price differences often come from site size, kJ allocation, Deep or Shallow handle, doctor’s procedure, combined injections, sedation management, taxes and promotion period. What is truly comparable is “Same part + same handle + same total number kJ + same tax basis” instead of just comparing a number.
5. How to read real ONDA arm before-and-after cases
Case pictures can help observe changes in contours, but you cannot just look at the “before-and-after collage”. The number of sessions, kJ each time, handle, shooting interval, weight change and whether it is combined with fat-dissolving injections or other instruments should be confirmed at the same time. Without these conditions, it is impossible to directly apply other people’s cases to oneself.
6. Nine details to confirm at a consultation in Korea
- Complete device name and model, whether it is ONDA, ONDA PRO or other devices.
- Confirm the treatment area and exact boundaries, and whether both sides are counted separately or together.
- How many total kJ and how many Deep and Shallow are allocated.
- Whether performed by a physician, whether pre-treatment ultrasound or subcutaneous thickness assessment is required.
- Whether to combine fat-dissolving injections; write clearly the product name, ingredients, total content and injection site.
- Should it be completed at one time or multiple times? How to arrange follow-up intervals?

FAQ
Can one ONDA session produce a visible change?
Some people may observe changes in contour or firmness, but final results are affected by site, fat thickness, energy, handle, reps, and lifestyle habits. Clinic cases or “single plans” cannot be understood as being completed at one time.
Can ONDA and InMode FX be done on the same day?
Whether to combine or not should be decided by the doctor based on the site, energy level and skin reaction. More is not necessarily better. The order, energy and risks should be clear before repeatedly superimposing energy in the same area.
Is cryolipolysis necessarily more comfortable than heat-based treatment for people sensitive to pain?
